Sunday 16 June 1 – 3.00 pm WEA
Please join us on Sunday 16th June to celebrate the launch of the Christchurch Sharing Map!
Christchurch is a wonderful city. There are a plethora of organisations, spaces and places that support our community and our precious environment. Everyday it seems like someone tells me about a new organisation that is doing brilliant work with community at the heart of it by providing services that are free, for koha or a price that is accessible for the whole community. These organisations, spaces or places provide support with learning, well-being, access to healthy environments, experiences with nature, advice, spaces connect with other people and opportunities to give back to this special city. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a map of these places that are activating the urban commons?
Yes? We thought so too.
Come along to hear more about what a sharing city is, why we think Christchurch is one of them and what you can do to share! After all, sharing is caring.
We will be giving a talk from 1pm, followed by demonstrations of how to use the map and finally a swap shop to get everyone into the spirit of sharing. Swap Shops are fun and easy ways to get sharing with your friends and family. Once you’ve been to this one, you might want to host one of your own!
The event is co-hosted by the WEA and supported by Sustainable Ōtautahi Christchurch.
