The Sustainable Development Goals Summit Series held the first of three online hui in November. The event, See the Change, was a success in attracting over 120 attendees, 87 of which signed up to be post-event Virtual Coffee Buddies. These catch-ups allow participants to reconnect and continue learning from one another.
One of the key speakers at the event was Lucy Gray, a Christchurch student, climate activist, and member of Schools Strike 4 Climate NZ and Schools Strike 4 Climate Christchurch. Back in October, Stuff featured an article about Lucy who started organising climate protests when she was twelve years old.
If you missed the event or were unable to attend, you can watch a recorded version here on YouTube. If you have feedback about the event or were unable to attend for any reason, the Summit Series team would be happy to hear from you so that they can improve access for next time. You can email them at nzsdgssummitseries@gmail.com.
In addition to the Facebook page which is regularly updated, there is now a website to make it easier to keep up-to-date.
