Sunday, March 8th, 10.30am-1.00pm,
Meet at the corner of Tidal View and Humphries Drive.
EnviroHub and friends invite you on a bird watching bike ride from Ferrymead to Sumner with Guest Speaker, Tanya Jenkins!
“Why our Estuary is of International Significance; and the extraordinary birds who share it with us.”
This is a gentle bike ride, to enjoy the wildlife who share our city.
We will stop on the way to:
- view the birds through the Birds NZ scope
- to talk with Tanya Jenkins manager of the Avon Heathcote Estuary Ihutai Trust.
- and will have other activities to help people improve their bird spotting and identification skills.
We encourage anyone with binoculars or field glasses, to bring them along.
A fun event for all ages (children under 14 years must have an adult with them).
This is part of NZAEE Seaweek Programme
