This is why Sustainable Ōtautahi Christchurch have begun the POD project. There are 2 main threads to this work.
- Making certain that all opportunities for engagement by SOC and our allies in the policy making processes related to Christchurch and its environs are taken by our community to promote policies and practices to address the ecological and climate crises facing our region and the world.
- Promoting civics in education both inside and outside of the formal education system. Helping with the education and training of all those wanting to participate and keep our democracy open.

This is just the beginning. The POD project will grow and evolve.
